Mississippi St. linemen to avoid surgery

STARKVILLE, Miss. -- Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen says injured offensive linemen James Carmon and Quentin Saulsberry won't need surgery after injuries suffered during Saturday's 41-34 loss to Auburn.

Mullen said Saulsberry has a sprained knee, but there was a "good chance" the senior center could return for No. 25 Mississippi State when it hosts No. 3 LSU on Thursday. Carmon suffered a leg injury in the second quarter against Auburn, and the starting left tackle spent the second ...
