Houston player tears large vein
HOUSTON -- Houston cornerback D.J. Hayden remains hospitalized in "stable, yet critical" condition Saturday morning after tearing a vein in a collision with a teammate during practice.
The school said Hayden was expected to make a full recovery but would remain in the hospital "for a while."
"He did get to stand up last night for the first time and wanted to slow dance with his nurse," Houston spokesman David Bassity said.
