Morriss resigns after 1-9 season at A&M-Commerce

COMMERCE, Texas -- Texas A&M-Commerce coach Guy Morriss has resigned after the Lions went 1-9 this season.

The school announced the resignation Monday, two days after the team lost 45-14 to West Texas A&M.

Morriss was hired by the Division II school in January 2009 after coaching at Baylor and Kentucky. He was 10-41 in four seasons at A&M-Commerce.
