Second man sentenced in slaying
DETROIT -- A 22-year-old Detroit man has been sentenced to 30-to-60 years in prison for his role in the shooting death of a college football player outside a downtown nightclub.
Anton Blevins also was sentenced Wednesday in Wayne County Circuit Court to five-to-10 years for six counts of assault with intent to do great bodily harm.
Cortez Smith was slain in 2011 during an argument in the nightclub's parking lot. A 25-year-old man was wounded.
