Washington to allow pair to practice

HARTFORD, Conn. -- Washington coach Steve Sarkisian says tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins and wide receiver Kasen Williams, both of whom had run-ins with the law during the offseason, will be allowed to participate when preseason practice starts next month.

Seferian-Jenkins pleaded guilty earlier this month to a charge of driving under the influence and is schedule to serve a day in jail on July 31. Washington begins practicing Aug. 5.
