Kendal Thompson fractures foot

NORMAN, Okla. -- It didn't take long for Oklahoma's three-way quarterback competition to be reduced to two.

Oklahoma announced Thursday that sophomore quarterback Kendal Thompson suffered a fractured right foot on the first day of practice earlier in the morning.

Thompson was expected to battle junior Blake Bell and redshirt freshman Trevor Knight this preseason for the Sooners' starting job.
