Family sues over Frostburg St. death

The parents of a Frostburg State University football player who died after a second concussion accuse coaches at the Maryland school of conducting dangerous drills that caused repeated blows to the head.

A wrongful-death lawsuit says that 22-year-old Derek Sheely, of Germantown, Md., returned to play despite bleeding from the forehead during the 2011 training camp.

The lawsuit filed last week in state court also names the NCAA and head coach Thomas Rogish as defendants.
