50. Gordie LockbaumRunning back/cornerback | Holy Cross
Lockbaum, a two-way star at Holy Cross in the mid-1980s, was one of the last small-school stars to get serious consideration for the Heisman Trophy, finishing fifth in voting as a junior in 1986 and third the next year.
A running back and cornerback for the Crusaders, Lockbaum was a true 60-minute man. He scored 44 touchdowns on offense -- all during his final two college seasons -- and had 146 tackles and five interceptions on defense. Inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001, Lockbaum played preseason games in the NFL, but never made an active roster.
