28. Dean Steinkuhler

Offensive guard | Nebraska

The 1983 Outland and Lombardi winner was the best blocker on one of Tom Osborne's best teams, a juggernaut Cornhuskers squad that blasted through the Big Eight unbeaten before being shocked by Miami in a classic Orange Bowl with the national championship on the line.

In that game, Steinkuhler added to his résumé with a lineman's fantasy play: a 19-yard touchdown run on a "fumblerooski" call.

Following the season he was the No. 2 overall selection in the 1984 NFL draft, but never justified the high pick. He played eight seasons for the Houston Oilers without excelling.
