68. The Comeback

Frank Reich guides Maryland all the way back vs. Miami

Nov. 10, 1984: The play still stands as one of the greatest comebacks in NCAA history. Trailing defending national champion Miami 31-0 at halftime, coach Bobby Ross put Frank Reich into the lineup instead of Stan Gelbaugh. In the fourth quarter, Reich completed a 68-yard pass to Greg Hill that gave the Terps a 35-34 lead, their first lead of the game. Maryland held on for the 42-40 win, and the Terps went on to win the ACC title.
