Devon StillDefensive tackle | Penn State
Still felt like a light clicked on for him in practice leading up to the Outback Bowl last New Year's Day. He posted a career-high 3.5 tackles for loss in that game against Florida and continued his domination throughout the 2011 season.
He had 17 tackles for loss and 4.5 sacks for Penn State, huge numbers by an interior lineman, especially one who faced constant double-teams throughout the season.
Northwestern coach Pat Fitzgerald said Still's ability to shed blocks "caused just complete and total chaos in the backfield." And it's why Still was named the Big Ten Defensive Player of the Year.
