He won the Butkus Award and the Lombardi Trophy in a span of four days and has been widely regarded as one of the best linebackers in the country as a junior. The projected first-round draft pick leads the nation with 191 tackles, and through just three seasons he has a school- and ACC-record 532 career tackles. Kuechly has had 10 or more tackles in 33 of his 37 career games. He had 191 tackles this season and 183 last season, the top two single-season totals in ACC history. He led the team with three interceptions, including one he returned for a touchdown, and had 12 tackles for loss.
