Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability: With a degree in the Department of Geography and Environmental Sustainability, students develop skill sets to solve environmental issues before and after graduation. The department is home to new undergraduate degree programs in Environmental Sustainability (BS/BA) with special emphasis on interdisciplinary environmental, economic and social issues. Graduates of the Environmental Sustainability program will lead efforts in research, decision-making, and policy-making that underpin the drive for environmental sustainability. Overall, the Geography Department is a home for studying environmental processes and their impact on humans, with additional degrees offered in Geography and Geographic Information Systems (GIS.) It is one of the university's fastest-growing departments, with 60 majors in Environmental Sustainability, 42 in Geography and 27 in GIS.
