Colorado State assistant to undergo cancer treatment

FORT COLLINS, Colo. -- Colorado State receivers coach Marc Lubick, son of head coach Sonny Lubick, will undergo treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer, his father said.

The type of cancer was not identified, but Sonny Lubick said in a statement, "We are confident that Marc will make a full and complete recovery."

The cancer was discovered last week and first reported in the Fort Collins Coloradoan on Sunday.

Marc Lubick, 28, joined his father's staff last season, replacing his brother Matt, who left to coach receivers at Mississippi.

He will be treated at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Minn.
