Darius Willis suspended

INDIANAPOLIS -- The Indiana Hoosiers have suspended running back Darius Willis for one game this fall for conduct detrimental to the team.

Coach Kevin Wilson announced the discipline in a one-paragraph statement Saturday. The school says it will have no additional comment about the suspension.

Willis rushed for 278 yards and four touchdowns last season as a sophomore, missing the final eight games because of a torn patellar tendon in his right knee.

He led the Hoosiers as a freshman with 607 yards rushing and six touchdowns in six starts.
