Talented trios found all over the country

ESPN.com

NC State isn't the only team with a great quarterback, running back and wide receiver. A quick look at five other teams with terrific trios.

Fresno State Bulldogs
Lost out in the WAC is Fresno State. Paul Pinegar has so many options, it must look like a PlayStation game to him at times. Marque Davis caught 64 passes for 956 yards with 7 TDs and Bernard Berrian looks like he's over the partial ligament tear he suffered last year and is ready to return to being one of the top receivers in the country. Rodney Davis quietly rushed for 1,586 yards and 9 TDs last year. Is that any good?

Michigan Wolverines
Say what you want about QB John Navarre, but the guy has actually done pretty well for the Wolverines. He threw for 2,905 yards with 21 TDs and just 7 INTs last season. He also completed 55 percent of his passes. Tough to argue with those numbers. RB Chris Perry is a very good back when healthy as evidenced by his 1,110 yards and 14 TDs. Braylon Edwards is a big, fast wideout who had 1,035 yards and 10 TDs last year. If it's any indication of what Edwards expects from himself this season, he switched over to the coveted No. 1 jersey.

Ohio State Buckeyes
Tough to argue with success. All Craig Krenzel did was throw for 2,110 yards and 12 TDs last year in a limited role. If they opened the offense up, he could easily add to those numbers. If Maurice Clarett plays, well, we know what he can do. His 1,237 yards and 16 TDs were the key to the Buckeyes national title run, but Lydell Ross is a more than capable backup. Michael Jenkins is a big-play receiver and Chris Gamble lines up on the other side to give the Buckeyes two very dangerous wideouts.

Oklahoma State Cowboys
Rashaun Woods may be the best receiver in the Big 12 -- and that's saying something considering that league has Texas' Roy Williams. Woods is a big, fast target who caught 107 passes for 1,695 yards and 17 TDs last year. He has an underrated QB in Josh Fields, who completed 55 percent of his passes for 3,145 yards and 31 TDs to just 10 INTs. Tatum Bell is a solid RB who only rushed for 1,096 yards and 11 TDs.

Pittsburgh Panthers
If QB Rod Rutherford has improved, this could be the best trio in the Big East. Rutherford threw for 2,783 yards and 22 TDs last season, but also threw 12 INTs and has been known to make a costly mistake or two. With emerging stars RB Brandon Miree (943 yards last year) and WR Larry Fitzgerald (69 catches for 1,005 yards and 12 TDs), this is an explosive bunch.
