BOISE, Idaho (AP) -- David Mikell and Donny Heck scored two touchdowns apiece and Wes Nurse set up two first-half scores with turnovers as Boise State extended its winning streak to 12 games with a 62-0 shutout of Idaho State on Saturday.

Ryan Dinwiddie threw for 235 yards and a touchdown and ran for another score as Boise State (1-0), which gained 580 yards and held Idaho State (1-1) to 152 total yards and just 6 yards on the ground. The (1-1) Bengals never threatened to score and punted 14 times.

With Boise State leading 3-0 in the first quarter, Nurse intercepted Roman Ybarra's pass at the Bengal 35-yard to set up Mikell's first score, a 10-yard run.

In the second quarter Nurse forced a fumble by Bengal wide receiver Sale Key, which was recovered by Andy Avalos at the Idaho State 31-yard line. Four plays later Heck scored and gave the Broncos a 24-0 lead when he recovered his own fumble in the end zone.

Mikell added a 43-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and Dinwiddie and Jerry Smith connected on a 33-yard touchdown pass as the Broncos took a 31-0 halftime lead.

Boise State scored 31 more points the second half on Tyler Jones' 43-yard field goal and three touchdown runs -- 12 yards by Dinwiddie, 10 yards by Heck and Brad Lau's 4-yard dive. Mike Stanford also threw a 53-yard TD pass to Lawrence Bady.

Four different quarterbacks played for the Broncos, who have won 27 of their past 28 home games. It was the first meeting between the state rivals since 1995. The crowd of 30,664 was the fourth-largest in Bronco Stadium history.
