LAFAYETTE, Louisiana (Ticker) -- Ralph Davis rushed for 95
yards and two touchdowns and Luke McCown threw for two scores as
Louisiana Tech rolled to its fifth straight win over
Louisiana-Lafayette, 34-3.

Davis broke several tackles en route to a 35-yard score that
gave Louisiana Tech (1-1) a 10-0 lead with 3:45 left in the
first quarter. He added a one-yard TD midway through the second
period.

The Bulldogs closed with 24 unanswered points as McCown hit
Chris Norwood for a 34-yard touchdown 82 seconds before
halftime, then found D.J. Curry for a four-yard TD in the fourth
quarter.

McCown completed 19-of-33 passes for 261 yards with an
interception for Louisiana Tech, which has outscored the Ragin'
Cajuns, 263-86, in the last five meetings.

Freshman Jerry Babb was 24-of-39 for 197 yards with an
interception for Louisiana-Lafayette (0-2), which managed just a
22-yard field goal by Sean Comiskey on the first play of the
second quarter.
