EASTON, Pa. (AP) -- Mark Glavic threw for 226 yards and three
touchdowns in the first half as Lafayette beat Marist 49-0
The win was Lafayette's 600th and its first shutout since 1997.
Joe McCourt rushed for 59 yards and two touchdowns in the first
half as the Leopards (1-0) jumped out to a 35-0 lead at the break.
John Weyrauch caught four passes for 82 yards and two
touchdowns, including a 54-yard TD for Lafayette.
Marist was held to 91 yards of offense on the day while
Lafayette racked up 494 yards. Marist was just 1-of-11 on
Backup quarterback Mike O'Connor threw a 27-yard TD to Jeremy
Burkes and ran one yard for another in the third quarter to close
out the scoring.
O'Connor finished 5-of-5 for 63 yards. Glavic finished 11-of-15.
