PROVIDENCE, R.I. (AP) -- Anthony Vita passed for 219 yards and
three touchdowns as Brown rallied for a 21-17 victory over Cornell
Vita, a sophomore making his first varsity start, completed 15
of 30 passes and threw two touchdown passes in the fourth quarter
as Brown (4-2, 1-2 Ivy) overcame a 17-7 deficit.
Ryan Kuhn ran for two touchdowns and passed for 121 yards for
Cornell (1-5, 1-2).
Vita led two long scoring drives in the second half to give
Brown the lead. He capped a 14-play, 65-yard drive with an 11-yard
touchdown pass to Jarrett Schreck at 14:07 of the fourth quarter,
and completed an eight-play, 71-yard drive with a 24-yard touchdown
pass to Efren Blackledge with 5:17 left.
Cornell (1-5, 1-2) took a 10-7 lead on Kuhn's 1-yard run with 46
seconds left in the first half, and stretched the lead on a 23-yard
TD run by Kuhn at 5:18 of the third quarter.
A.J. Weitsman added a 40-yard field goal for Cornell, which lost
its fourth consecutive game.
Schreck caught five passes for 90 yards and Nick Hartigan ran
for 88 yards for Brown. Brian Romney caught five passes for 71
yards for Cornell.
