Alabama A&M tops Alabama State in Magic City Classic

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. (AP) -- Kelcy Luke rushed for a touchdown with
2:41 remaining to lift Alabama A&M to a 31-28 victory over Alabama
State in the Magic City Classic on Saturday.

The Bulldogs trailed 22-16 at halftime after Tarvaris Jackson
hit Chris Maddox with a 27-yard TD pass for the Hornets.

Kelcy, who completed 12-of-22 passes for 161 yards, threw for a
touchdown in the third quarter to shorten the gap and gave the
Bulldogs the win on a 1-yard run.

Ta'mar Scott rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown for the
Bulldogs (6-2, 4-2 Southwestern Athletic Conference), who wrapped
up 305 offensive yards.

Jackson threw for a total four touchdowns and completed 23-of-36
passes to lead the Hornets with 316 yards in the air.

Alvance Robinson caught 10 passes for 145 yards for Alabama
State (6-2, 6-1).
