WASHINGTON ST 56, IDAHO 10

PULLMAN, Washington (Ticker) -- Alex Brink threw for 231 yards
and three touchdowns to lead Washington State to an easy 56-10
triumph over Idaho.

Bouncing back from last Saturday's 40-14 loss to Auburn, the
Cougars (1-1) posted their sixth consecutive victory over the
Vandals and 20th in their last 22 encounters.

Brink wasted little time getting Washington State on the
scoreboard by connecting with Michael Bumpus on a 12-yard
touchdown on the Cougars' first possession. He also found Chris
Jordan on a 22-yard score later in the opening quarter.

After Tino Amancio booted a 21-yard field goal early in the
second period to bring Idaho within 14-3, Brink struck again.
The junior hit Jordan for a 21-yard TD and capped a 96-yard
drive with a one-yard touchdown run for a 28-3 bulge.

Jordan caught his third TD pass from Gary Rogers with 17 seconds
left before the half. He finished with four receptions for 57
yards.

Christopher Ivory widened the margin to 49-3 with an 80-yard
touchdown run early in the fourth quarter. Kevin McCall added a
53-yard TD run with 5:29 left for the Cougars, who gained 637
yards on offense.

Steve Wichman completed just 11-of-31 passes for 130 yards and
one interception for Idaho (0-2), which has been outscored,
83-27, this year.
