CHATTANOOGA, Tenn. (AP) -- The Citadel's Tory Cooper rushed for four touchdowns and 84 yards on 26 carries in the Bulldogs' 41-16 victory over Chattanooga Saturday.
Duran Lawson added 108 rushing yards, including a touchdown, and 221 passing yards for the Bulldogs (3-1, 1-0). Cooper's first score capped a 12-play drive in the first quarter. His second, which followed a punt block by teammate Johnathan Synovec, gave The Citadel a 14-0 lead over UTC (1-3, 1-1).
Cooper also scored from 3-yards out in the second quarter and 19 yards away in the third quarter.
Chattanooga's Antonio Miller threw a 21-yard touchdown pass to Joseph Pittman in the second quarter, one to Blue Cooper in the fourth and finished 21-of-37 for 221 yards and two interceptions. The Citadel's Ta'Mar Jernigan caught eight passes for 95 yards.
