LYNCHBURG, Va. (AP) -- Rashad Jennings rushed for 172 yards and three touchdowns to lead Liberty to a 37-24 win over Coastal Carolina on Saturday.
Brock Smith completed 11-of-15 passes for 165 yards and one touchdown for the Flames (6-3, 2-0 Big South), who compiled 527 yards of offense.
Jennings had a 15-yard TD run 1:22 into the game, Noah Greenbaum kicked a short field goal and Smith hit Chris Stokes with a 7-yard TD pass to put Liberty ahead 17-0 midway through the second quarter.
Jennings had third-quarter TD runs of 1 and 6 yards to put Liberty ahead 37-10.
Jerome Simpson had scoring receptions from different quarterbacks for Coastal Carolina (3-6, 1-1). His second TD catch came midway through the fourth quarter and teammate Arthur Sitton added a 1-yard TD run to make the outcome respectable.
Coastal Carolina managed only 102 passing yards. Starter William Richardson was 9-of-15 for 75 yards.
