NEW ROCHELLE, N.Y. -- Eddie Donisi returned a fumbled for a defensive 2-point conversion and Mike Pennewell scored two touchdowns to give Division III Wesley a 23-12 victory over Iona on Saturday.
Aaron Jackson rushed for 100 yards on 15 carries for Wesley (3-1), which beat a Division I opponent for the first time in school history.
Nick Rossetti passed for 163 yards and two touchdowns for Iona (3-3).
Rossetti connected with Justin O'Brien for a 1-yard touchdown to make it 14-12 with 4:31 left in the third. Iona went for 2, but Joe Muraglia fumbled on his rush attempt and Donisi scooped it up and ran the distance to make it 16-12.
Pennewell added a 3-yard TD run in the fourth quarter.
