RICHMOND, Ky. -- C.J. Walker rushed for 229 yards and three touchdowns to lead Eastern Kentucky to a 34-7 win over Murray State on Saturday.
The Colonels (7-3, 6-1 Ohio Valley Conference) remain in at least a tie for first place in the OVC. The Colonels outgained the Racers (4-7, 3-4) 334-188.
Walker scored his first touchdown when he capped off a six-play, 55-yard drive with a 16-yard scamper that put Eastern Kentucky up 7-0 with 11:15 left in the first quarter.
He added a 51-yard run that increased the Colonels' margin to 14-0 with 6:37 left in the first quarter.
The Colonels increased their lead to 28-0 on Walker's next score, a 60-yard run, and Taylor Long's 26-yard field goal in the final minute of the first half made it 31-0 at halftime.
Paul McKinnis scored from the 1 yard out late in the third for the Racers' only points.
