POCATELLO, Idaho -- Kenyon Blue's 8-yard touchdown run in overtime, his third TD of the game, gave previously winless Idaho State a 36-33 victory over Sacramento State in a Big Sky finale Saturday.
Idaho State finished 1-11 and 1-7 in Big Sky play, while Sacramento State ended 6-6 and 3-5 in the Big Sky.
Blue's touchdown of the day came after a 22-yard field goal by Sacramento State's Juan Gamboa in the Hornets' first possession in overtime. Blue finished with 111 yards on 18 attempts.
Besides his game-winning TD, he had a 6-yard touchdown run in the first quarter and a 54-yard reception for a touchdown in the third period.
The win by Idaho State overshadowed a 271-yard, four-touchdown rushing performance by Sacramento State workhorse Bryan Hilliard. Hilliard averaged 6.8 yards rushing on 40 attempts.
Hilliard's most important score came with 51 seconds left in regulation on a 10-yard run that capped a 73-yard Sacramento State drive, giving the Hornets a 30-27 lead after a two-point conversion.
A 42-yard field goal by Idaho State's Mike Ramos with eight seconds left in regulation tied the score at 30, sending the game into overtime.
