LEWISBURG, Pa. -- Will Carney's 36-yard field goal in overtime lifted Bucknell to a 24-21 win over Fordham on Saturday in the final game of the season for both teams.

Bucknell (5-6, 2-4 Patriot League) forced overtime with a 9-yard touchdown pass from C.J. Hopson to Justin Pulgrano with four seconds left in the fourth quarter. Hopson also threw a 25-yard touchdown pass to Shaun Pasternak as the Bison rallied from a 21-7 fourth-quarter deficit.

Carney got the chance to kick the game-winner after Adam Danko's 38-yard attempt on the first possession of overtime bounced off the left upright for the Rams (5-6, 1-5). It was Danko's third miss of the game.

Fordham built a two-touchdown lead in the first half thanks in large part to its defense as the Rams returned a pair of Hopson fumbles for touchdowns.

Nicholas Magiera had a 12-yard fumble return for a touchdown on the opening possession to give Fordham a 7-0 lead. Quasand Lewis scored on a 1-yard run as the Rams extended their lead to 14-0 after the first quarter.

After Hopson scored on a 1-yard run to cut Fordham's lead to 14-7, Ryan Darcey returned another fumble by Hopson 40 yards for a touchdown to give the Rams a 21-7 halftime lead.

Hopson was 18-for-28 for 229 yards and two touchdowns and rushed for 58 yards for Bucknell. Pasternak added nine catches for 156 yards for the Bison.

Xavier Martin led Fordham with 147 yards rushing and John Skelton threw for 141 yards as the Rams were able to move the ball on offense but scored on just one of four trips inside the Bucknell 20-yard line.
