ORANGEBURG, S.C. -- Androse Bell capped a 15-play, 90-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run in the third quarter to seal Bethune-Cookman's 14-0 victory over South Carolina State in Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference play on Saturday.
After a scoreless first quarter, the Wildcats (6-0, 4-0) got on the board with a 16-yard touchdown pass from Maurice Francois to Jevaughn Reams with 4:51 left on the clock before halftime.
The Bulldogs (4-2, 2-1) were unable to generate any offense due to their inability to hold on to the football. Malcolm Long threw two interceptions and lost a fumble.
Reams had five catches for 86 yards and starting quarterback Matthew Johnson threw for 172 yards and one interception on 15-for-27 passing for the Wildcats.
Chris Massey rushed for a game-high 123 yards in the loss for South Carolina State.
