Western Michigan takes third-quarter lead but falls to Central Michigan

MOUNT PLEASANT, Mich. -- Ryan Radcliff threw his second touchdown pass of the night in the fourth quarter to give Central Michigan a 26-22 comeback win over Western Michigan on Friday night.

Western (3-6, 2-3 Mid-American Conference) took a 22-13 lead late in the third quarter on Juan Nunez's 11-yard touchdown reception.

The Chippewas (3-7, 2-5) responded with two touchdowns, a 1-yard run by Carl Volny and Kito Poblah's 5-yard catch with 6:10 left. The two-point conversion failed, but it was enough for the Chippewas.

Western's Alex Carder also threw two TD passes. He was 27-of-44 for 272 yards.

Radcliff, who finished 23-of-36 for 300 yards, was sacked in the end zone in the first quarter to make it 7-2.

Central's Cody Wilson caught 12 passes for 185 yards and a first-quarter TD.
