STONY BROOK, N.Y. -- Brock Jackolski scored three touchdowns -- a run, a reception and a kickoff return -- as Stony Brook remained unbeaten in the Big South Conference with a 55-3 victory over Gardner-Webb on Saturday.
The Seawolves (6-4, 5-0) leads the conference by one game over Liberty and Coastal Carolina. Stony Brook, which has beaten Coastal Carolina, will close its regular season next week at Liberty, which lost Saturday to Coastal Carolina.
All of Jackolski's touchdowns came in the third quarter, starting with a 94-yard return of the opening kickoff. He finished with 131 yards on 15 carries, two receptions for 8 yards and 117 yards on two kickoff returns.
Stony Brook took a 41-3 lead into the fourth quarter and added to it on the first play when Stephen Schwicke returned a fumble 42 yards for a score.
Patrick Hall carried 26 times for 137 yards for the Runnin' Bulldogs (3-7, 1-4).
