PINE BLUFF, Ark. -- Dennis Jenkins made a 5-yard touchdown run midway through the fourth quarter to lift Arkansas-Pine Bluff to a 27-20 victory over Alcorn State on Saturday night.
The Golden Lions (1-1, 1-0 Southwestern) were down 20-10 at halftime but kept the Braves (0-2, 0-2) scoreless in the second half.
Pine Bluff's Adrian Moore led the game in rushing with 130 yards, including a 57-yard run in the fourth quarter that put his team in place for the winning touchdown three plays later.
Chris Ewald helped Pine Bluff with a pair of field goals. Stephen Jones added an 11-yard touchdown run in the second quarter and Rontrell Bailey caught a 7-yard pass from Benjamin Anderson in the third.
