Sacred Heart 24, Dartmouth 21

FAIRFIELD, Conn. -- Sacred Heart blocked a game-tying field goal attempt by Dartmouth as time expired in a 24-21 win on Saturday.

With the game tied 21-21, Keshaudas Spence led Sacred Heart on a 17-play, 74-yard drive that resulted in a 22-yard field goal from Chris Rogers to give the Pioneers (1-2) a 24-21 lead. Spence recorded 30 of his 129 yards on the drive, which ate up 7:50. Dartmouth took possession with only 55 seconds remaining in the game.

The Big Green (1-1) marched 55 yards to the Sacred Heart 36-yard line to set up a game-tying field goal attempt. But Sacred Heart's Paul Graziadei broke through the Big Green line to block the 53-yard attempt and seal the game for the Pioneers.

Sacred Heart's Tim Little finished with 176 yards on 22 of 34 passing while Nick Schwieger led the way for Dartmouth with 120 yards on 20 carries.
