LORMAN, Miss. -- Jerry Lovelocke threw for two touchdowns and the Prairie View defense forced three turnovers and held Alcorn State to 99 total rushing yards in a 40-14 win Saturday.
The Panthers (5-5, 5-3 Southwestern Athletic Conference), whose win kept them tied for first in the league, rushed for 223 yards with three different running backs notching a touchdown. Le'Darryae Grover (95 yards), Fred Anderson (45 yards) and Courtney Brown (39 yards) led the rushing attack and all scored on the ground for the Panthers.
