SACRAMENTO, Calif. -- Colton Silveria rushed for 170 yards and the go-ahead score Saturday as UC Davis closed out the season with a 23-19 victory over Sacramento State.
Silveria scored on a 1-yard run in the third quarter to put the Aggies (4-7) ahead 17-13, and Sean Kelley kicked two of his three field goals in the fourth quarter to hold off Sacramento State (4-7). Austin Edmonson also had an 8-yard TD run in the second quarter for UC Davis.
The Hornets led 13-10 at halftime on two Jason Dinz field goals and a fumble recovery by Ben Cowger in the end zone. Garrett Safron added a 30-yard touchdown run on the game's final play to account for the final scoring.
Safron completed just 11 of 31 passes for 155 yards, but rushed for 93 yards on 14 carries.
The Aggies' Randy Wright was 14 of 23 passing for 171 yards.
