VILLANOVA, Pa. -- John Robertson had 259 total yards and accounted for two touchdowns and Villanova defeated Stony Brook 35-6 Saturday.
The Wildcats (1-2, 1-0 Colonial Athletic Association) scored on three consecutive drives to open the second quarter. Robertson threw to Clay Horne for a 43-yard touchdown, and then rushed for a 2-yard TD to put the Wildcats up 21-0 at half.
Robertson was 9 of 12 for 140 yards, and rushed 20 times for 119 yards.
