KINGSTON, R.I. -- Justin Semmes rushed for more than 100 yards and two touchdowns for Rhode Island to secure a 42-7 victory against Central Connecticut State University Saturday.
Semmes rushed 18 times and picked up the first touchdown of the game and another in the third quarter, finishing with 114 yards for the Rams (2-3). Bob Bentsen threw a pair of touchdown passes in the first two quarters to make the score 21-0 at the half. He completed 11 of 20 passes for 168 yards.
