RALEIGH, North Carolina (Ticker) -- Andre Brown made sure North Carolina State would have something to play for in its regular-season finale.

Brown rushed for 94 yards and a touchdown as NC State kept alive its bowl hopes with a 24-3 victory over Middle Tennessee State.

Behind Brown, the Wolfpack (5-5) won for the third time in four games. They need a win over Maryland at home next week to become bowl eligible.

Brown's 10-yard touchdown run with 2:19 remaining in the first half snapped a 3-3 tie.

Marcus Stone threw a six-yard TD pass to T.J. Williams in the third quarter and Stephen Tulloch returned an interception 50 yards for a score later in the period to provide the the final margin.

Stone completed just 6-of-11 passes for 85 yards and an interception.

Colby Smith kicked a 26-yard field goal in the first quarter for Middle Tennessee State (3-6), which held an 18-8 advantage in first downs.
