NORMAL, Ill. (AP) -- Pierre Rembert ran for 116 yards and three touchdowns Saturday to lead Illinois State to a 38-14 win over Missouri State.
Rembert, playing in his final regular-season game at Hancock Stadium, had 22 carries and scored on runs of 2, 5 and 9 yards. The Redbirds led 21-0 at halftime and 35-0 entering the fourth quarter.
Luke Drone completed 19-of-26 passes for 305 yards and one touchdown, and ran for a 1-yard score for Illinois State (7-2, 4-1 Gateway). Drone's top target was Jason Horton, who hauled in five passes for 72 yards. Cameron Siskowic led the Redbirds defense with 10 solo tackles and six assists.
Tyler Horner completed 23-of-37 passes with one interception for 230 yards and one touchdown for Missouri State (1-9, 0-6 Gateway).
Illinois State out-gained the Bears 527 yard to 366 yards and remains in contention for a share of first place in the Gateway conference.
