TERRE HAUTE, Ind. (AP) -- Luke Drone threw for 298 yards and four touchdowns to lead Illinois State to a 42-20 win Saturday at Indiana State.
Drone connected with Lauren Robinson for a 90-yard score and followed that up with a 52-yard TD pass to Pierre Jackson on the last play of the first quarter.
Pierre Rembert rushed for 137 yards on 27 carries for the Redbirds (8-2, 5-1 Gateway Football Conference), who had 498 yards of total offense and scored touchdowns on three consecutive drives in the first half.
Reilly Murphy threw for 279 yards and a touchdown to lead Indiana State (1-10, 1-6) in its season finale.
Murphy ended an eight-play, 77-yard drive with a 41-yard touchdown pass to Carl Berman with 3:33 left in the first quarter.
The Sycamores scored the first 10 points of the second half on a 40-yard Kyle Hooper field goal and a 7-yard touchdown run by Murphy, but gained only 46 yards in the fourth quarter.
A 4-yard TD run by Drone with 2:17 left in the game capped a 21-0 fourth quarter run for Illinois State.
