New Hampshire 35, Delaware 30

DURHAM, N.H. (AP) -- Keith LeVan caught two touchdown passes and threw for another to lead New Hampshire to a 35-30 upset victory over Delaware on Saturday.

The Wildcats took a commanding lead in the first half, then hung on to fend off a fourth quarter rally by the Blue Hens who posted 20 points in the stanza to draw within five points before time ran out, suffering their first loss of the season.

The Blue Hens struck first with a 32-yard field goal early in the second quarter, but New Hampshire (3-2, 1-2 CAA) answered with three touchdowns on runs by Ricky Santos and Sean Jellison and a 45-yard pass from LeVan to Mike Boyle.

Santos sat out most of the game with a shoulder injury, but R.J. Toman tossed two key touchdown passes to LeVan from 28 and 36 yards in the third to put the game out of reach.

Before Toman's scores, Delaware's Omar Cuff had narrowed the gap to 21-10 with the first of his three touchdowns on the day -- an 8-yard run.

The momentum shifted to Delaware (5-1, 3-1 CAA) in the fourth quarter with Joe Flacco hitting Josh Baker on a 54-yard pass play for a touchdown and Cuff on a 31-yard pass for another score. Delaware added its last touchdown with 1:33 to play on a 1-yard run by Cuff.
