VILLANOVA, Pa. (AP) -- Antwon Young threw for 216 yards and four touchdowns to lead Villanova to a 63-24 victory over William & Mary on Saturday night.
Villanova (4-2, 2-1 Colonial Athletic Association) raced to a 28-14 lead in the first quarter and, after outscoring the Tribe (3-3, 1-2) 7-3 in the second, went ahead to stay with a 21-7 third-quarter outburst.
Young went 20-for-26 for 216 yards and also scored on a 1-yard plunge. He threw a pair of scoring passes to Matthew Sherry, and also found Phil Atkinson and Brandyn Harvey for TDs.
Jake Phillips went 16-for-30 for 291 yards and two touchdowns for William & Mary. He hit Cameron Dohse with a 24-yard scoring pass and Mack Elliott for a 73-yard scoring play. He also charged in from 7 yards.
