CAPE GIRARDEAU, Mo. -- Cody Kirby threw for 195 yards and two touchdowns and ran for another to lead Missouri State to a 45-28 win over Southeast Missouri Saturday.
Kirby completed 20-of-27 passes for 195 yards and Clay Harbor caught seven passes for 88 yards and a touchdown for the Bears (1-2 overall, 0-0 Missouri Valley).
Kirby threw touchdown passes to Chris Geidz and Harbor and ran for a 5-yard touchdown.
Houston Lillard completed 30-of-44 passes for 331 yards, three touchdowns and three interceptions for the Redhawks (1-3, 0-1 Ohio Valley).
Missouri State extended its lead to 21-0 after Chris Farrar intercepted a pass and ran it back 47 yards for a touchdown with no time remaining in the first half.
