NEW YORK -- Jordan Scott ran for four touchdowns, including the winner of 3 yards with 9 seconds left, leading Colgate to a 31-24 victory over Fordham on Saturday night in the Patriot League opener for both teams.
Scott, whose other touchdowns covered 15, 2 and 24 yards for the Raiders (3-2, 1-0), finished with 272 yards on 43 carries to boost his career total to a school-record 5,287 yards.
He has carried for 100 or more yards in 17 consecutive games and has seven career 200-yard outings.
John Skelton was 17-for-29 for 156 yards and two TDs for the Rams (2-2, 0-1).
Fordham took its final lead at 24-21 on Skelton's 2-yard pass to Asa Lucas midway through the fourth quarter. Jacob Stein kicked a 33-yard field goal with 4:33 left to tie it.
