YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio -- Rashad Jennings ran for 220 yards and Matt Bevins kicked a 24-yard field goal as time expired to lift Liberty over Youngstown State Saturday 31-28.
Jennings rushed for three short touchdowns and Zach Terrell added another as the Flames (4-0) grabbed a 28-14 lead by the start of the fourth.
But Youngstown State's Brandon Summers led an eight-play, 50-yard drive that ended with a short TD pass to Donald Jones. Minutes later, the Penguins (2-3) were back with another long drive -- seven plays, 64 yards -- with Ferlando Williams catching an 11-yard pass to even it at 28 with 1:29 left.
Summers was 32 of 39 for 334 yards with one interception and three touchdown passes. He also rushed for 76 yards and a touchdown for the Penguins.
