HANOVER, N.H. -- Running back Mike Kielt ran for three touchdowns and caught a fourth to lead Holy Cross to a 44-26 victory over winless Dartmouth on Saturday.
Kielt rushed 18 times for 120 yards and touchdowns of 39, 5 and 8 yards and added a 41-yard score on a screen pass from Dominic Randolph.
Randolph completed 33 of 45 passes for 391 yards, including two touchdowns. He also threw two interceptions for the Crusaders (3-3) and scored on a 1-yard run in the fourth quarter. The quarterback shook off an early pickoff and a Dartmouth field goal to produce scores on the Crusaders' final four drives of the first half for a 23-6 lead.
Randolph threw a 16-yard touchdown pass to Jon Brock in between Kielt's first two scoring runs, and Matt Partain added a 29-yard field goal to account for the visitors' first-half points.
Quarterback Alex Jenny staged a brief comeback in the third quarter for Dartmouth (0-5), connecting on a 25-yard touchdown pass with Tim McManus. But Kielt put the game out of reach with his final two TDs of the day.
Foley Schmidt booted field goals of 37 and 42 yards for the Big Green. Dartmouth added two touchdowns in the fourth quarter on a 10-yard Jenny-to-McManus pass and Taylor Babcock's recovery of a fumble in the Holy Cross end zone.
