Harvard 35, Dartmouth 7

HANOVER, N.H. -- Quarterback Chris Pizzotti ran for two touchdowns and threw for a third as Harvard routed Dartmouth, 35-7, in the Ivy League on Saturday.

Ben Jenkins rushed 20 times for 111 yards and one touchdown for the Crimson (3-1, 6-1). Dartmouth (0-4, 0-7) has lost nine straight games.

Harvard scored first, just 4:20 into the game, with Pizzotti's first scoring run of 11 yards.

Two Patrick Long field goals -- from 34 and 30 yards -- sandwiched around a 2-yard Pizzotti keeper gave the visitors a comfortable 20-0 cushion at halftime.

Dartmouth managed just 123 yards of offense -- only two on the ground -- and lost starting quarterback Alex Jenny in second quarter after a hard hit. Jenny returned for a series in the second half, but yielded to freshman Conner Kempe after absorbing a second hard hit.

Pizzotti wrapped his day with an 18-yard touchdown toss to Jason Miller in the third quarter. Defensive tackle Desmond Bryant forced a grounding penalty in the end zone from Kempe for a safety and Jenkins added his 15-yard scoring run for Harvard's other points.

The Big Green averted a shutout when Kempe completed a 3-yard TD pass to Will Deevy with 44 seconds left in the game.
