HAMILTON, N.Y. -- Running back Nate Eachus had 34 carries for 171 yards and 2 touchdowns as the Colgate beat Lafayette 21-13 on Saturday.
Both of Eachus' touchdowns came in the second half and helped Colgate (7-2, 3-0 Patriot League) erase a 10-0 halftime deficit.
Rob Curley's 4-yard touchdown pass to Joe Russo and Davis Rodriguez's 47-yard field goal led to the 10-0 Lafayette (6-2, 2-1) lead, and the Leopards' defense held the Raiders to just 46 first-half yards.
The Raiders recovered a fumble at their 8-yard line early in the third quarter and went on a 9-play, 92-yard drive capped by a 7-yard Eachus run.
The Leapords answered with a 35-yard field goal to take a 13-7 lead. But after a poor kickoff, Greg Sullivan ended a 5-play, 54-yard drive with a 35-yard touchdown run. An Eachus 1-yard touchdown rush with 4:02 left in the game sealed Colgate's win.
The Colgate defense had five sacks, and Hadley led the Raiders with 10 tackles. For Lafayette, wide receiver Shaun Adair caught 10 passes for 129 yards, Russo had 10 carries for 54 yards, and Mark Leggiero accrued 10 tackles.
