DENTON, Texas -- Corey Robinson passed for 347 yards and three touchdowns and running back Jerrel Jurnigan threw for a key fourth-quarter score as Troy defeated North Texas 41-35 on Saturday night.
A week after losing their first conference game in two years, the Trojans (5-3, 4-1 Sun Belt) rebounded by compiling 543 yards of offense.
Riley Dodge threw for 269 yards and three TDs and Lance Dunbar ran for 96 yards and a score for North Texas (2-7, 2-4), which played its second game under interim coach Mike Canales.
Troy led 34-28 at the end of three quarters and got an insurance touchdown when Jurnigan passed 19 yards to Donnie Crosby. North Texas again made it a six-point game on Dodge's 24-yard TD toss to Tyler Stratford, but a last-chance drive was crippled by a personal foul, and the Mean Green lost the ball on downs.
Jurnigan rushed for 89 yards on six carries, including a 55-yarder.
