SMITHFIELD, R.I. -- Addison Lynch and Samad Wagstaff each returned interceptions for touchdowns and Bryant defeated Robert Morris 27-21 on Saturday.
The Bulldogs (7-3, 4-3 Northeast Conference) led 7-6 before the back-to-back defensive scores. Addison Lynch had the first interception of Jeff Sinclair, returning it 43 yards late in the first quarter. Then Wagstaff followed with an 80-yard TD return with 9:15 left in the second quarter.
Robert Morris (8-2, 7-1) threw one more interception and turned it over a fourth time on a fumble, despite outgaining the Bulldogs 329-319, controlling the ball four minutes longer and holding them to just 1 of 11 on third downs.
Jordan Brown had two touchdowns and 138 yards on 28 carries and Mike Croce was 9-for-20 with 165 yards for Bryant.
Sinclair was 15-for-37 with 159 yards and two touchdowns to go with his three interceptions.
